What to Expect on a Jawai Safari?
A typical Jawai Safari lasts for about 3 to 4 hours. You will be picked up from your resort or a designated point in an open 4x4 Gypsy. The safari takes you through the rugged terrain of granite hills, riverbeds, and local villages.
The main attraction is, of course, the Indian Leopard. Unlike African safaris where animals are often hidden in dense bush, the rocky hillocks of Jawai make it easier to spot these magnificent cats basking in the sun or resting in cave shaded.

- Morning Safari: 5:00 AM to 8:30 AM (Summer) | 6:00 AM to 9:30 AM (Winter)
- Evening Safari: 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM (Summer) | 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM (Winter)
Best Time to Visit Jawai
Jawai is open year-round, but the best time for a comfortable safari experience is from September to March. The weather is pleasant, and the migratory birds flock to the Jawai Bandh, adding to the beauty.
